Some managers rule with a “heavy hand”, with high expectations, pushing the employees to keep producing until they come up with a perfect product, or make the client happy. Some rule like a kindergarten teacher, in a much less formal way. The boss wants to be friends with the employees, and there is much less structure.
There is no doubt which is the better way to rule…You must set clear rules and guidelines for your employees to follow, as well as clear expectations of the job. Too much freedom in a job breeds complacency which then breeds failure. It is important to keep clear, defined goals in mind.
